Hi, I'm Denise!
I’m a dog lover and proud mum to my late Maltipoo Toffee, who lived a long life of 19 years.
After Toffee passed, I started opening my home to other dogs for boarding, caring for them with the same love and attention that I gave to Toffee.
Over the past year, I have boarded many dogs from 5 months to 12 years old of different breeds and sizes. Each one taught me something new about their unique personalities, needs and behaviours, and how to handle them.
Through these experiences, I have also learned how to integrate dogs into a new environment, calm those with separation anxiety, prepare nutritious dog meals, create a safe and loving space where every dog feels at home.
I started out just like many others, with just a profile on Pawshake and no client base. A year later, I work with mostly repeat clients and referrals built on trust, ethics, and clear client communication while increasing my fees gradually.
What began as a way to heal from my loss of Toffee soon grew into passion, which is to ensure that every dog I board feels happy, loved, and healthy during their little “holiday” at my home.
Now, I want to help other aspiring home dog sitters do the same, by becoming a trusted, in-demand boarder that both the dogs and their owners love coming back to!
